What material is brown corundum
The main component of brown corundum is alumina (Al2O3), which is usually found between 50 and 96%, depending on the grade. In addition to alumina, it also contains a small amount of silica (SiO2), titanium oxide (TiO2) and ferric oxide (Fe2O3) and other impurities.
The production process of brown corundum is to make high quality bauxite, anthracite and iron chips in the arc furnace through high temperature melting, and then through the self-grinder, and magnetic separation to remove iron, and finally sieve into products of different particle size. The brown corundum of this material has the performance characteristics of high purity, good crystallization, good self-sharpness, strong fluidity, low expansion coefficient, corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance and good thermal stability.
